Ms. Vice joined The McDaniel Company in 1980 as an administrative assistant after spending five years with Dunigan tool & supply in Abilene, Texas. She has over 30 years of experience in the oilfield supply business and is an integral part of the daily operations of The McDaniel Company. In addition to being an officer of the company, she handles the coordinating of sales and purchasing of tubulars and manages inventory, accounting, receivables and payables. Ms. Vice’s broad skill set and experience in the oil & gas industry is a valuable asset to The McDaniel Company.
Leslie White joined The McDaniel Company in 2006 as an administrative assistant. To date, she is responsible for coordinating The McDaniel Company’s health, safety & environmental programs, as well as being the regulatory manager. Leslie is also responsible for daily upkeep and management of well records for wells plugged by The McDaniel Company, and produces bids for the same.
Prior to joining The McDaniel Company, Leslie studied at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas after graduating from Allen High School in Allen, Texas.
Gary L. McDaniel began his career in the oil & gas business in 1975 with The McDaniel Company. In the early years at the company, Mr. McDaniel was primarily active on the supply side, selling Oil Country tubular goods and production equipment.
After becoming proficient on the supply end, Mr. McDaniel began to expand into other areas of the industry including plugging and abandonment and oil & gas production. Mr. McDaniel remains active in the daily operations of the business which include tubular and equipment supply, plugging and abandonment and management of all matters related to the company’s oil & gas activities.
His career now spans four decades and has seen the volatile nature of the oil & gas industry which has prepared him to effectively operate The McDaniel Company today. Inheriting some of the entrepreneurial talent from his father Guy A. McDaniel, Mr. McDaniel remains flexible to meet the ever changing landscape of the oil & gas industry. Mr. McDaniel is a member of the Dallas Wildcat Committee, as well as the Dallas Petroleum Club where he served as a past board member. In 2013, TIPRO (Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners) honored Mr. McDaniel as one of the Best CEO’s in the small company category.
Mr. Eyler joined The McDaniel Company in 1992 when he established the office in Midland, Texas. Mr. Eyler graduated in 1981 from Miami University of Ohio with a BA in Geology. Prior to joining The McDaniel Company, Mr. Eyler held numerous positions with Dresser Atlas, SPG Exploration, Amax Oil & Gas, and co-founded Forte Energy Company. Currently residing in Midland, Mr. Eyler manages the plugging and abandonment operations in the Permian Basin and is active in the producing property acquisitions side of the business. Mr. Eyler is also the founder and general partner of Milagro Resource, LP.
Mr. Eyler’s notable professional accomplishments include American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Professional Well Log Analysts – San Antonio Chapter President, Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists – Midland Chapter Chairman, National Board of Directors 2002-2006 and National President 2005-2006.
Mr. McDaniel is the President and COO of The McDaniel Company where he oversees all matters related to the plugging & abandonment and surface reclamation operations of the company. A 2006 graduate from the University of San Diego with degrees in Finance & Communications, Mr. McDaniel also manages The McDaniel Company’s oil & gas portfolio consisting of operated and non-operated wells.
Mr. McDaniel’s responsibilities include drilling, completion & production engineering, financial modeling & capital budgeting, acquisition & divestiture due diligence, accounting, joint interest billing, corporate & regulatory governance and legal advisor.
Mr. McDaniel is a member of multiple professional organizations including the ADAM Energy Forum, Young Professionals in Energy, Society of Petroleum Engineers, The Dallas Petroleum Club and the Dallas Wildcatters Committee. Mr. McDaniel is also an avid golfer and participates in several qualifying tournaments annually including the U.S. Open, Texas State Amateur, USGA Amateur & Mid-Amateur events.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Penner joined The McDaniel Company in 1994 after spending 10 years with Ico, Inc. in the tubular inspection and coating industry. As a salesman with Ico in Dallas, Mr. Penner attracted many tubular inspection clients including The McDaniel Company to Ico’s patented process for recovering and renovating used casing, tubing and sucker rods.
This background gave Mr. Penner the opportunity to expand The McDaniel Company’s core business of used casing and tubing sales, as well as their innovative turnkey plugging & abandonment services. Mr. Penner also has a background in the wellhead industry spending the early part of his career with Cameron Iron Works in Houston and Aztec Wellheads of Oklahoma City.
