Pad Reclamation and Site Restoration services are an integral part of McDaniel’s service offerings. Once the P&A rig completes the downhole portion of the well plugging, a specialized crew is brought in to clean out, tear down, remove and haul off all production equipment that was installed on the pad. In some cases depending on the age of the facilities, the battery wreck-out and demolition services can yield a credit back to the operator if surface production equipment is in a suitable condition for re-sale. On older locations, the majority of the equipment is hauled off to the scrap yard for processing.

Once all the production equipment has been removed from the location, the pad is ready for reclamation. McDaniel assists its customers on generating and submitting remediation & reclamation Work Plans that satisfy the regulatory agencies who oversee surface cleanup & reclamation. McDaniel has worked with the Bureau of Land Management, New Mexico Office of Conservation, New Mexico State Land Office, Texas Railroad Commission, as well as private surface landowners to ensure that pads and locations are properly reclaimed and returned to a native state condition. The site is seeded for re-vegetation growth and monitored for biodiversity of plant and animal species.
